Alekey Marshal The Kenyan Alejandro

Alekey is an afropop ,reggae musician, Song Writer and a Guitarist.  born and raised in Kisumu town. He is the second born in a family of five- four brothers and one sister.
 He started singing at a tender age, in the church coral. In High School ,he started writing his own lyrics. This was the reason he was chosen to represent his High school in  an exchange program called Tujuane, championing for climate change through music, in Gloucester in UK. He later moved to Nairobi in 2013 to continue his College studies and pursue his music career.
  Alekey Marshal worked with Holy Dave on a song called Future Generation…. Shortly after, he performed at an event called JulianiNa3Concert oopening act for Juliani On his third album launch. Alekey would eventually switch from rapping to singing ,soulful  reggae music, fused with afropop,which he says he had been influenced by Bob Marley. He released his first reggae song called Give Thanks featuring Gilad which encourages his listeners to appreciate the gift of life. The song got a reaction from Cedalla Marley ,Bob Marley’s daughter and this further motivated him into making more reggae music, which he fuses with afropop, dancehall and other genres.
Alekey currently works in collaboration with Urban Scorch Records,  Jamaican producer Jubba White and Dj Ashad from United Kingdom who discovered his music online.The Nairobi based singer has since worked with artists like,  Holy Dave, Seroney, Gilad and most recently Juliani.
